A DSV Case Study
dm-drogerie markt, a German drugstore chain with more than 1,400 stores, needed a reliable logistics partner to support its rapid growth and expanding store network. DSV was enlisted in 1986 to distribute products to a small number of stores, and the relationship soon grew to include warehousing and broader distribution services.
DSV implemented a long-term retail logistics solution with a local single point of contact, flexible capacity, and decision-making close to the customer. This allowed dm-drogerie markt to scale smoothly from 10 stores to more than 1,400, with DSV now handling an average of 200,000 orders and 10,000 pallets per day using more than 1,000 trucks across Germany.
