Dstillery partnered with an online pet pharmacy that needed to prepare for a cookie-less future and drive online sales without relying on third‑party identifiers. The retailer tested Dstillery’s new ID-free Custom AI against cookie-based Custom AI, contextual targeting, and run-of-network to benchmark performance under equal bidding and isolated audiences.
Dstillery’s ID-free Custom AI uses machine‑learning models built from the brand’s own data and privacy‑friendly signals to find high‑value audiences. In one week the test drove 378 orders: cookie-based Custom AI led with 158 orders and ID‑free delivered 121. Both Custom AI approaches nearly doubled ROAS versus run-of-network/contextual (Custom AI $23.12, ID‑free $21.09 vs RON+Contextual $10.54), and ID‑free achieved a CPA improvement of over 44% versus run-of-network (and roughly 42% better than contextual).
