Ellucian migrates Network File Shares to Box with DryvIQ

Ellucian, a provider of software and services for higher education institutions, faced a significant challenge in collaborating and sharing files across its global and largely remote workforce using distributed network file shares. The company sought to migrate over 3,500 users and more than 10 terabytes of content to the Box cloud platform without causing any business disruption, a task for which they engaged the vendor DryvIQ.

DryvIQ provided an efficient migration solution, using its software to seamlessly transfer user home drives and group file shares with their permissions to Box. The results were highly successful, with the entire company moving to Box as its primary file-sharing solution. This eliminated the need for physical servers, led to a notable decrease in file-related IT service calls, and empowered users to manage documents independently, all while enabling secure collaboration from anywhere.
