A Druva Case Study
Phillips Distilling Co., a Minnesota-based family-owned spirits maker since 1912 with over 300 employees and global distribution, was struggling with a manual, tape-based backup process. Weekly tape collection and offsite storage left them exposed to potentially losing seven days of data, cost them 20–30 hours a week in management, and failed to reliably protect remote laptop and mobile data; servers frequently froze and restores could take hours or days.
By moving to the Druva cloud platform, Phillips eliminated tape, centralized backup and archiving for servers and endpoints, and automated lifecycle management. The result: a “set-and-forget” solution that saved about 30 hours per week, achieved 15:1 deduplication, reduced backups and restores to under 30 minutes, enabled directory restores in minutes, and made laptop restores and replacements seamless and secure.
