A Druva Case Study
Kerry Properties, a premier APAC property developer with high‑value assets including the Megabox complex, was on a fast‑moving digital transformation but struggled with inconsistent, on‑premises backups across about 500 VMware VMs and ~20 ROBO locations. Reliant on a mix of tape, Veeam, Veritas and local Windows servers for Microsoft 365, the company had no centralized visibility into backup status, leaving it exposed to accidental data loss and ransomware and needing a cloud‑first, unified backup strategy.
Kerry replaced Veeam and Veritas with the Druva Cloud Platform, gaining a single pane of glass for VMs, Windows/Linux servers and Microsoft 365 (800 users), rapid deployment in a POC despite limited bandwidth, and built‑in ransomware protection. The move delivered 2.33x global deduplication savings, freed IT to focus on strategic projects, and is projected to save about US$3 million in infrastructure costs over five years while strengthening business continuity.
