Kent RO Systems trusts Druva to protect data on 100 virtual machines (VMs)

Kent RO Systems, India’s leading maker of reverse-osmosis water purifiers, supports over four million customers with a hybrid IT environment that includes 1,500 endpoints and 100 VMware VMs across AWS and an on-premises data center. The IT team relied on tape-based VM backups that were slow, labor-intensive (requiring two full-time staff to manage and rotate tapes), and risky for recovery and compliance.

Kent moved to Druva’s cloud-native backup-as-a-service for a single management console, isolated “forever” backups in AWS, deduplication, and proactive alerts. The change cut backup management effort by 8x (reducing staffing from two full-time roles to one person working a few hours a day), enabled fast recovery of two failed VMs to meet SLAs, and improved overall business resilience with cloud disaster-recovery features.
