A Druva Case Study
Jenkon, a longtime provider of direct-selling software and the J6 platform, moved its platform and internal infrastructure to the cloud, consolidating physical servers into Microsoft Hyper-V VMs and migrating email and file services to Microsoft 365. Its legacy backup (Quest NetVault) stored backups on-site in a SAN and left Microsoft 365 data unprotected beyond Microsoft replication, creating DR vulnerabilities and no cloud-native recovery option; alternative solutions like Veeam would have doubled storage costs.
Jenkon ran a proof-of-concept and implemented the Druva Cloud Platform to back up Hyper-V and Microsoft 365 natively to the cloud, giving off-site isolation, a single-pane management experience, and minimal hardware overhead. The result: a 4X reduction in SAN storage/costs, a 3X reduction in time and staff for backup management (from three people to one), seamless recovery after a hardware failure, long-term retention for SOX/GDPR/PCI compliance, and the ability to recover OneDrive and Exchange data beyond Microsoft’s retention window.
