A Druva Case Study
GP Batteries, a global leader in primary and rechargeable batteries with 30 sites and a 60-person IT team, faced a cloud-migration challenge: moving users from Lotus Notes to Microsoft 365 without a modern, cloud-native backup solution. Existing backups were inconsistent across locations, there was no centralized visibility for VM and server data, and their on-premises backup vendor (Veeam) lacked a true SaaS offering—creating operational and compliance risks.
After a successful proof of concept, GP implemented the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud to provide a single, cloud-native console for protecting Microsoft 365, VMware VMs, and Windows file servers for 1,800 users. The move cut backup management time from 40 to 4 hours and reduced the number of consoles from 10 to 1, while improving compliance, freeing IT to focus on strategic projects, and accelerating future cloud initiatives.
