Family Health Network Adopts Cloud DRaaS for VMware Environments

Family Health Network (FHN) is a Chicago-area healthcare organization serving more than 230,000 members through some 8,400 physicians and over 95 hospitals. As FHN moved its data center to a cloud-based VMware environment to support growth and acquisitions, its legacy backup provider couldn’t deliver a scalable, cloud-native DR/backup solution — and the team needed a HIPAA-compliant approach that would avoid costly hardware contracts and manual integration work.

FHN deployed Druva Phoenix to centrally manage backup and disaster recovery for on-premises and cloud VMware workloads, enabling VM restores to AWS on demand. The cloud-native solution delivered immediate DR capabilities, centralized visibility across remote sites, built-in HIPAA controls, and on-demand scalability, while reducing time spent managing backup and DR by about 30%.
