ShoreTel was wrestling with a disjointed digital presence after acquiring M5 Networks: customers and partners had to use two separate websites, SEO efforts were duplicated, non‑U.S. partners couldn’t localize content, and their Clickability CMS left marketing dependent on a single technical administrator. Facing brand unification and demand‑generation goals, ShoreTel and agency Myplanet identified Drupal (the Drupal CMS) as the right vendor/product to address multi‑domain, multi‑lingual and content‑management shortcomings.
Myplanet implemented Drupal to consolidate the two web properties into a single installation with multi‑site and localization support, a role‑based permissions model, and a new Partner Finder, while partnering with Mediative to optimize SEO and performance. The Drupal solution eliminated the one‑person bottleneck, empowered global partners to localize content, drove additional leads via the Partner Finder, launched on time in four months, and helped ShoreTel earn two Interactive Media Awards.
