Drupal Site Helps Citizens Connect with Government

The Colorado General Assembly needed a single, accessible digital hub to publish and distribute a vast library of bills, reports, audits, and schedules for the Legislature and its four service agencies. To solve challenges around organization, accessibility, and public education, the site was rebuilt using the Drupal content management system (implemented by Elevated Third) to streamline content publishing and improve findability for legislators, staff, media, and citizens.

Built on Drupal, the new site synchronizes with internal servers to automatically upload content to designated locations, eliminating much of the manual content entry and reducing administrative burden. Topic-centered navigation, “most accessed” listings, bill progression graphics, and clear committee/sponsor pages made documents easier to find and understand—creating a centralized civic hub that improved accessibility, simplified publishing workflows, and encouraged greater public engagement.
