Underwater magic with Aquabumps, Dion Lee & The Australian Ballet

Aquabumps co‑founder Debbie Tan set out to create an ambitious artistic collaboration that combined underwater photography, ballet and fashion with designer Dion Lee and The Australian Ballet. The challenge was coordinating complex creative work across different geographies—Dion in New York, the ballet in Melbourne and Aquabumps in Bondi—while bringing test shots, designs and budgets together to execute a technically difficult shoot.

The team used Dropbox Paper as a central creative workspace to share concepts, images, designs and approvals in real time, keeping everyone in sync and speeding decision‑making. The result was a seamless global collaboration that delivered bespoke, aquatic‑inspired swimwear and a realized creative vision, letting the partners focus on the artistry rather than logistics.
