Mezcla Media Collective is powering a filmmaking movement in Chicago

Mezcla Media Collective, a Chicago-based filmmaking community, was created by filmmaker Ghunim to help local Latinx and MENA creatives break through the “celluloid ceiling” and build more sustainable careers. As many members were freelancing and working toward funding their own projects, the group needed a better way to stay connected, collaborate, and reduce the isolation of the filmmaking process. Dropbox was part of the solution used to support that work.

Dropbox helped Mezcla Media Collective streamline collaboration and share files across members working on films, events, and creative projects. The result was a more connected, supportive community that made the process feel less lonely and helped members move toward sustainability in their filmmaking careers. Mezcla described the experience as transformative, showing the impact Dropbox had on both teamwork and creative momentum.
