McMaster University Library & Dropbox for Business A study in efficiency

McMaster University Library needed a better way to share files and support staff who work from tablets, home, and abroad. Before switching, employees relied on email attachments and CDs, and network drives were proving ineffective for a distributed team. Dropbox for Business was introduced to replace those outdated methods and make file access simpler across the library.

Dropbox implemented Dropbox for Business as an easy-to-set-up team account that staff could adopt without formal training. The result was strong uptake: 75 of the library’s 90 employees used it, and multiple departments now rely on it for file sharing, remote access, and storing large media files. Dropbox helped McMaster University Library save time, improve flexibility, and focus more on supporting students and faculty.
