A Dropbox Case Study
Creativity Explored, a collective that supports developmentally disabled artists, needed a better way to keep creating, collaborating, and selling art when its San Francisco studio and gallery were disrupted by the pandemic. With Dropbox, the organization used digital tools to manage its growing art library and support remote work while continuing to expand access for artists and partners.
Dropbox helped Creativity Explored run 24 virtual classes a week, provide internet access and iPads to artists who needed them, and maintain a digital catalog of more than 20,000 artworks for licensing. The result was a successful hybrid model that kept artists engaged, broadened access beyond transportation limits, and helped the collective continue generating income, with artists collectively earning over $2 million.
