Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus case study

Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus faced growing outages, rising recovery costs, and usability issues as it moved away from on-premises file servers. The campus needed a secure, intuitive cloud storage solution for students and faculty, and chose Dropbox to replace much of its legacy file management setup.

Dropbox provided a desktop-friendly shared workspace with strong security and enough storage for campus needs. Keio University activated 7,000 licenses and uploaded 55 TB of data in the first few months, improving file sharing, paperless assignment collection, and collaborative research. With Dropbox, the university supported BYOD learning, continued online teaching during the pandemic, and accelerated its digital transformation.
