International Refugee Assistance Project - Customer Case Study

The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a nonprofit that coordinates thousands of pro‑bono attorneys and law students across New York, Beirut, Amman and beyond to help refugees secure resettlement. As IRAP grew from a student group into an international operation, email-based workflows and clients carrying hard-copy documents made secure collaboration and case management nearly impossible and put vulnerable clients at risk.

Adopting Dropbox Business created a virtual law firm with shared folders, commenting, offline sync and granular access controls, letting teams collaborate in real time across the US and Middle East while protecting sensitive files. The platform streamlined operations and onboarding, enabling IRAP to scale roughly 10x (from about 50–60 to 500–600 cases) and support hundreds of successful resettlements as part of the organization’s work with more than 3,100 refugee families.
