Dropbox for Business helps Refinery29 keep its cool and deliver cutting edge content

Refinery29, a New York–based independent fashion and lifestyle publisher with editors in cities including LA, SF, Chicago, DC and London, struggled to coordinate assets and approvals across a dispersed team. Editors used a mix of office servers and personal Dropbox accounts, which made it hard to find files, manage photo approvals, share with external contributors, and stay productive during events like Fashion Week or emergencies such as Hurricane Sandy.

By moving the whole staff to Dropbox for Business, Refinery29 standardized storage and sharing with project folders, mobile access, access controls and file restore features. The change streamlined workflows and external collaboration, reduced versioning headaches, enabled editors to publish faster (getting Fashion Week selections live in 4–6 hours), and kept the company operational during outages.
