Collecting stories from around the globe with Earth Hour

Earth Hour, a WWF-led global movement headquartered in Singapore that mobilizes over 170 countries to switch off lights for climate action, needed a simple, universal way to collect photos and videos from events around the world. Languages, time zones and dispersed teams made it difficult to gather and publish timely content from dozens of local events during the one-hour campaign.

Earth Hour adopted Dropbox Business, using shared folders organized by continent and country so regional teams could upload footage across four 24-hour shifts. The intuitive, low-training workflow let the global team quickly aggregate and publish assets to the Earth Hour Live site and social channels, boosting worldwide participation and making it easy to share powerful visual stories from every region.
