A Dropbox Case Study
ADCO, one of Australia’s leading construction companies with 3,500+ projects valued at over $10bn, faced an outdated, state‑based IT estate that created data silos, poor mobile access, limited national oversight and security concerns. With infrastructure more than seven years old, the company needed to decide between replacing physical servers or adopting a cloud approach to stay competitive and agile.
ADCO adopted a cloud‑first strategy with Dropbox, trialling it on two jobs before a company‑wide rollout. Dropbox standardized project workflows across states, enabled real‑time mobile access and large‑file sharing, improved security (ISO 27001) and simplified archiving. As a result ADCO is deprecating 40 file servers, cutting operating costs and freeing IT to focus on strategic projects.
