A Dronedesk Case Study
AutoSpray Systems, a UK-based company importing and reselling agricultural drones, faced a challenge helping time-poor farmers overcome the high barrier to entry for drone operations. Farmers who purchased drones were unable to fly them for months due to the complex process of securing permissions, planning flights, and maintaining compliance. To solve this, AutoSpray Systems turned to the Dronedesk platform.
Dronedesk provided a white-label solution that compartmentalized each farmer's data, allowing AutoSpray to manage its customers as remote pilots under its own CAA permissions. The solution automated flight planning, record-keeping, and compliance reporting, saving significant administrative time and providing farmers with an easy way to demonstrate completed work for grants and payments. Using Dronedesk helped AutoSpray secure additional authorizations, such as for Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations, and provided the data needed to support future applications for pesticide spraying permissions.
