Leighton Asia, an international contractor working across the Asia-Pacific region, needed a better way to keep projects moving and teams aligned during COVID-19 travel restrictions. With global teams, different time zones, and difficult on-site collaboration, the company turned to DroneDeploy and its cloud-based reality capture platform to support remote project oversight.

Using DroneDeploy’s aerial drone capture, Flight app, and 360 ground capture, Leighton Asia created digital twins and centralized project data for easier collaboration. The results were significant: excavation surveying on one mega tunnel project dropped from over a month to about one week, weekly updates replaced quarterly surveys, and project managers gained a single source of truth for faster, clearer decision-making across stakeholders.
