California Resources Corporation (CRC), the largest oil and natural gas producer in California, needed a better way to improve safety, communication, and operational efficiency across its vast acreage. The company was struggling to centralize aerial data, manage a growing drone program, and inspect assets spread across millions of acres and tens of thousands of wellpoints.

CRC implemented DroneDeploy’s drone mapping, imagery, thermal inspection, and flight management software to collect and organize field data, standardize flights, and support remote analysis. With DroneDeploy, CRC reported more than $205,000 in realized savings in the first half of the year, expects about $500,000 by the end of 2019, and saw a 40% reduction in inspection workflow time, while logging 100% of drone flights through the platform.
