A dRofus Case Study
HOK, a global design and architecture firm, was challenged to design two large, concurrent healthcare facilities for a major U.S. provider. They needed a way to share information and maintain consistency between the two 200,000 sq ft projects without duplicating effort, moving beyond the limitations of a static Excel program provided by their client. To solve this, they turned to the dRofus planning and data management solution.
By using dRofus as a single source of truth, HOK transformed static client data into a dynamic database that drove over 800 shared Revit families. This allowed for effortless batch updates to equipment lists and synchronized changes across both projects with a single click, saving considerable time. The dRofus solution enabled robust data validation, streamlined reporting, and efficient room placement, which optimized the team's workflow. This allowed the architects and engineers to focus on design rather than tedious data management tasks, ensuring both facilities were built from a single, consistent codebase.
