Barole Trucking, a for-hire intermodal carrier and the largest intermodal operator in the Twin Cities with 25 company vehicles and 45 owner-operators, faced inefficiencies from frequent weigh station stops despite a strong safety record. Minnesota State Police’s CVE recommended Drivewyze’s weigh station bypass service to reduce unnecessary inspections and help Barole handle unpredictable intermodal volumes more efficiently.

Barole activated Drivewyze (initially on six trucks, now 17 of 25) and saw measurable gains: 330 hours of drive time returned and more than $24,000 saved over Aug 2014–Apr 2016, nearly 17 fewer hours in weigh-station delays per month, up to four additional loads per month for out-of-state trucks, and reduced engine/transmission wear.
