KION Group Accelerates Data Access on Near Real-Time Supply Chain Analytics with Dremio's Data Lakehouse

KION Group, Europe’s largest manufacturer of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, needed a better way to unify data across siloed SAP and operational systems and deliver faster, more reliable supply chain and warranty analytics. As its Azure-based analytics environment grew, dashboard refreshes could take more than 30 minutes, making it difficult for business users to access timely insights.

To solve this, KION Group chose Dremio’s data lakehouse engine on Microsoft Azure, using it to query data directly from Azure Data Lake Storage and power self-service analytics with its semantic layer and query acceleration features. With Dremio, analytics-ready data latency dropped from 30 minutes to 3 seconds, enabling near real-time insights, faster response to issues, and broader access for employees to run complex queries without IT support.
