FactSet, the global financial services company serving more than 170,000 investment professionals, needed a faster and simpler way to access constantly changing financial data from multiple sources. To modernize its applications and create a single view of complex datasets, FactSet turned to Dremio and its data lake engine/Reflections capabilities on AWS.

With Dremio, FactSet layered a modern data architecture on top of its existing AWS data lake and other systems, replacing internal caching and reducing complexity without ripping out infrastructure. The results included a drop in data access time from 10 minutes to under 30 seconds, query performance improvements of up to 20x, and major workflow gains for new screening services—helping engineers focus on higher-value work instead of caching and data movement.
