Dremio Supports Moonfare’s High-Performance Culture with a High-Performance Lakehouse

Moonfare, a Germany-based financial services company helping individual investors access private equity, needed a more modern data platform as its AWS PostgreSQL-based warehouse struggled with rising data volumes and a growing user base. The company was looking for a scalable, open, and cost-effective solution that could support fast decision-making for analysts and business users. Dremio Cloud, including its Sonar query engine and Arctic data management service, was selected to replace the legacy warehouse and better support Moonfare’s high-performance culture.

With Dremio, Moonfare moved to a cloud data lakehouse on AWS S3 that eliminated cumbersome ETL jobs, improved query speed, and gave users direct access to up-to-date data through reusable views and self-service analytics tools like Tableau and Jupyter. The result was faster time to data, better governance and lineage visibility, and more efficient use of engineering resources. Moonfare also went from first contact with Dremio to its first use cases going live in just 3 months, with Dremio enabling a flexible, scalable foundation for future growth.
