Dremio Data Lake Engine Accelerates Insights and Drives Efficiency in Henkel’s Supply Chain

Henkel, the global chemical and consumer goods company, needed a way to connect data silos across its supply chain to improve demand planning, production scheduling, logistics, and forecasting. The Laundry & Home Care division was relying heavily on slow, manual Excel reporting and struggled with visibility across functions, limited scalability, and expensive consulting support. Henkel evaluated and adopted Dremio as part of its modern data lake approach.

Using Dremio with Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Tableau, Henkel built a secured data access layer that enabled fast joins, filtering, transformations, and virtual datasets for analytics. The result was a 30x reduction in query times, from 3-4 minutes to 8 seconds, and more than a 10% increase in OEE through better production planning and real-time visibility. Dremio also helped reduce computing and maintenance costs while supporting more than 500 Tableau dashboards and faster business decision-making.
