Solution Family Uses DreamFactory to Connect Mobile Users to Industrial Assets

Solution Family, a software-consulting firm with roots in embedded computing and machine-to-machine communication, needed a secure and efficient way to connect industrial assets, machines, motors, and sensors to the cloud. The company wanted to let developers build monitoring and control applications without dealing with low-level drivers or proprietary protocols, and it chose DreamFactory Software’s DreamFactory Services Platform to support flexible SQL and NoSQL backends across public, private, and on-premises environments.

DreamFactory Software implemented a REST-based platform that connected Solution Family’s devices to cloud services, provided an admin console, and enabled application portability between clouds and data centers. This reduced the need for custom integration code, simplified deployment, and supported secure private-cloud use cases; Solution Family also used the platform’s built-in MySQL database for development and testing, helping speed prototyping and customer demos while keeping customer data hosting flexible.
