Range Urgent Care, a clinic founded by Stephanie and Mathew Trowbridge, faced the common urgent care challenge of long patient wait times and poor administrative workflows, which damaged patient satisfaction and online reputation. Their goal was to create a patient-centric model that drastically reduced visit times and automated non-essential tasks. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor DrChrono, implementing its EHR platform.

The solution from DrChrono included real-time scheduling, a virtual queue with live wait times on their website, and automated text/email reminders to reduce no-shows. Staff used DrChrono on iPads for streamlined, bedside charting. This allowed Range to reliably offer appointments and accommodate walk-ins. As a result, patient experiences were transformed, with one review noting a total visit time of 30 minutes, and staff efficiency greatly improved, with charting completed by the end of each shift.
