A Draft.io Case Study

Preview of the AXA Case Study

How AXA France’s IT department uses Event Modeling to translate business needs into user stories that can be acted on by development teams immediately

AXA France's IT department, part of one of the world's largest insurance companies, faced the challenge of effectively translating complex business needs and budget constraints into actionable user stories for its development teams. To create cohesion between its technical and product teams, it turned to Draft.io to help implement a new, more agile process.

Draft.io provided the visual and collaborative tool used by AXA to run Event Modeling workshops. This solution enabled cross-functional teams to visualize user journeys and create a detailed "skeleton" of events and commands, which streamlined the translation of business needs into development-ready user stories. The practice became central to AXA's workflow and is now part of its core training curriculum, creating essential links between User Story Mapping, Event Modeling, and Example Mapping to make the entire product development process more agile.
