A DQLabs Case Study
The City of Spokane worked to improve outreach, citywide planning, public safety, and support services by using data more effectively, but legacy master data management processes were slow, costly, and hard to scale. With data spread across silos and no clear single version of truth, the city needed a secure, privacy-compliant way to unify citizen data and support better community-wide planning. DQLabs provided a modern MDM, data quality, and data ingestion platform to help address these challenges.
Using DQLabs, the City of Spokane consolidated multiple data sources into one governed platform, automated profiling, cleansing, consolidation, and deduplication, and created golden citizen records without ETL. The result was an 80% reduction in duplicates, faster data ingestion and curation in days instead of months, and a 50% reduction in total ownership and maintenance costs compared with traditional MDM. DQLabs also improved collaboration across business and engineering teams and enabled more effective reporting, analytics, and engagement initiatives.
