Case Study: Wisconsin State Fair improves maintenance and cost control with DPSI's PMC CMMS

A DPSI Case Study

Wisconsin State Fair manages 40 daily work orders during fair week with DPSI

Wisconsin State Fair needed a systematic way to maintain its extensive grounds and equipment year-round to support the annual fair and numerous other events. The challenge was to manage seasonal preventive maintenance, prepare for events efficiently, and control costs. The organization implemented PMC, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) from vendor DPSI.

The solution from DPSI involved using PMC to schedule and track all maintenance work, generate daily work orders, and manage parts inventory and billing for external event promoters. This resulted in better cost control and planning through detailed reporting. The system ensured equipment was ready for each season and helped the grounds department save money, with Franckowiak noting it "overall saves us quite a bit of money." PMC also streamlined billing and labor tracking for both internal and external events.
