A DPSI Case Study
The Wisconsin State Fair hosts nearly a million visitors over 11 days and runs year‑round events that require maintaining a large fleet of vehicles, tools, and grounds equipment. Keeping seasonal gear ready, coordinating setup for livestock and community events, handling unscheduled requests, and controlling maintenance costs created a complex operational challenge for the grounds department.
To solve this, the fair implemented DPSI’s PMC CMMS to schedule preventive maintenance, generate daily work orders (10–40/day depending on season), track parts and rentals, and record labor for accurate billing. The system improved equipment readiness, streamlined event setup, enabled correct promoter billing, and helped control costs—delivering measurable savings and easier planning for future events.
