Sonoco - Customer Case Study

Sonoco is a $2.6 billion global packaging manufacturer with roughly 300 operations in 32 countries. Focused on continuous productivity improvement, the company needed a cost-effective computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to standardize metrics and reporting, share parts and procedures, and strengthen preventive maintenance, failure analysis and planning—especially for smaller plants that couldn’t justify traditional CMMS investments.

Sonoco evaluated DPSI’s web-based iMaint and chose it for its combination of functionality, customer support and cost. The hosted solution enabled company-wide standardization and faster rollout of improvements, improved failure analysis and planning (including multi-task/cost planning per work order), and reduced hardware and staffing expenses—contributing to Sonoco’s ongoing productivity gains and lower installed costs across facilities.
