A DPSI Case Study
John Soules Foods, a multi-plant food processor based in Tyler, TX (with facilities in Gainesville, GA and Valley, AL), needed rigorous maintenance controls and traceable documentation to meet strict health, safety and customer audit requirements as their production and equipment count grew. Manual processes and inventory gaps threatened line availability and compliance, and customers required proof of completed preventive maintenance to buy product.
By implementing DPSI’s iMaint CMMS across work orders, scheduling, inventory, purchasing and projects—plus mobile and integrator modules—John Soules automated 350 weekly PMs, introduced min/max inventory controls, and centralized purchasing and reporting. The result: PO requests dropped ~50%, uptime rose from about 84% to 98%, stronger audit trails and regulatory compliance, and measurable cost savings and operational visibility.
