International Game Technology - Customer Case Study

IGT (International Game Technology), a global designer and manufacturer of computerized gaming machines headquartered in Reno, Nevada, faced the challenge of efficiently maintaining a 1.2 million square foot facility with just 13 maintenance staff. After migrating from PMC to DPSI’s iMaint in 2004, IGT needed better data, scheduling, asset prioritization and team utilization to reduce downtime and demonstrate maintenance value to management.

IGT implemented iMaint with focused user training, RIME-based asset prioritization, Resource Allocation scheduling, metrics tracking and service-contract workflows. The result was cleaner data and higher engagement from mechanics, measurable savings (six air compressors’ run time fell from 24 to 17.6 hours/day), creation of about 25 targeted metrics, and sustained productivity gains—maintenance productivity rose to 99.2% (from 82% in Jan 2005 and 96% in Jan 2006)—while improving planning, utilization and cost control.
