A DPSI Case Study
Cooke Aquaculture is a global, fully integrated seafood company that depends on science and tight asset control to deliver sustainable farmed and wild-caught products. Their maintenance challenge was tracking hundreds of mobile marine assets—about 600 vessels, nets and cages—across multiple sites and countries, while capturing 100% of labor, location, usage, wash cycles and test results for auditing and daily reporting.
Cooke addressed this by customizing iMaint—renaming fields, enforcing data-entry rules and configuring security—while deploying Requesters, Mobile and Project modules to tag assets, submit field requests, track work orders, and compare estimated vs. actual costs. Automated reports and detailed records (repairs, labor hours, washes, break tests) support a shift to preventive maintenance, enable better repair-vs-retire decisions, improve planning and costing, and keep vessels and gear ready to minimize downtime.
