FCA Bank Deutschland GmbH rolls out Doxis for 17 million documents and digital dealership records

FCA Bank Deutschland GmbH, a car-finance bank, faced the challenge of migrating 17 million documents to a new ECM platform while simultaneously rolling out SAP, all during ongoing operations. Their goal was to eliminate media discontinuities by replacing their paper-based dealership records and merging distributed data from various sources. They partnered with their long-standing vendor, Doxis, to implement its ECM platform.

Doxis provided its platform featuring digital archiving, document management, and electronic records, integrated with SAP. The solution included a fax-to-mail importer and a barcode scanning completeness check for documents handled by an external service provider. This allowed FCA Bank to achieve fully electronic processing of dealership financing, providing location-independent access to all documents and ensuring a seamless, media-free transfer of information. The successful parallel roll-out was completed for Austria in April 2014 and for Germany in October 2014.
