Delvag Versicherungs-AG, an insurance firm within the Lufthansa group, faced challenges in handling increased business volume. They needed a measurable boost in efficiency in claims settlement, required a close technical link between their ECM and portfolio management system, and sought to move away from a heterogeneous, partly paper-based records system. They turned to the vendor Doxis to implement an electronic document management and workflow solution.

The solution from Doxis centered on a company-wide ECM platform featuring electronic claims records and workflow-supported processes for inbound mail, settlement, and payment release. This created a uniform digital foundation, made claims processing largely paper-free, and eased cross-departmental collaboration. The implementation for 70 users manages approximately 1.8 million documents and 173,000 eRecords, providing greater security in task completion and establishing the technical basis for Delvag's new digital customer services.
