A Doxis Case Study
The City of Göttingen, a municipal administration with 1,800 employees, sought to transition to electronic administrative work and required a high-performing enterprise content management system to enable electronic record processing and optimize workflows. The city faced challenges in selecting the right system, managing the project effectively, and retaining colleague support through change management. They chose the Doxis ECM system for its broad functional scope, scalability, and flexibility.
Doxis implemented electronic records management by integrating its solution with the city's existing administrative systems, including OPEN/PROSOZ, INFOMA, and pmOWI. This integration streamlined transaction processing and introduced electronic complaint management. The results included a significant reduction in monotonous search and filing work, more transparent digital processes, and the ability for employees to access records from anywhere, enabling telecommuting. Doxis helped the city manage over 2.74 million documents and scale to support 1,800 users.
