A Doxim Case Study
Doxim Solutions ULC, a provider of customer communications and engagement technology, faced the challenge of ensuring compliance with Canada's Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act. The company needed to assess and mitigate risks of exploitative labour practices within its own operations and across its supply chain, which includes the procurement of materials like paper, ink, and computer equipment.
To address this, Doxim implemented a multi-faceted solution that included enhancing its supplier due diligence processes with a new questionnaire focused on forced and child labour, updating internal policies, and initiating employee awareness training. Doxim also leveraged its existing anonymous reporting channel, Lighthouse, for reporting concerns. As a result, Doxim formalized its risk assessment methodology, strengthened its governance framework, and took significant steps towards building a more transparent and ethical supply chain, though no specific instances of forced or child labour were identified during the reporting period.
