Large Independent Brokerage Company, one of Canada’s largest independent brokerages with branches in Canada and the U.K., was struggling with a manual, error-prone client onboarding process that required couriering paper to head office and often delayed account openings by a day. The firm faced high paperwork deficiency (NIGO) rates and wasted broker time resolving errors. To address this, they engaged Doxim and its Customer Engagement Platform, including the Doxim Client Onboarding application.

Doxim implemented electronic document imaging, barcoding, automatic filing and routing, and a unified electronic document repository, enabling onboarding in hours instead of days and eliminating the need to wait for couriers. As a result, paperwork deficiencies fell from about 60% to roughly 5–10% (an over 50% reduction in deficient accounts), saving 20–40 minutes per previously deficient account, cutting costs, and freeing brokers to spend more quality time with clients.
