FanDuel Leverages DV Social Solutions to Inform and Validate Media Plan

FanDuel, the online sports betting company, needed a reliable way to allocate social media budget across multiple platforms while acquiring new real-money bettors cost‑efficiently. Working with DoubleVerify and its DV Social Solutions (including DV Pinnacle® viewability reporting), FanDuel sought standardized, third‑party metrics to compare disparate platform reporting and to validate a proposed shift of spend into “Platform 3.”

DoubleVerify provided uniform viewability, audibility and completion metrics plus Authentic Ad™ eCPMs and helped combine those with native platform data (spend and CTR). Using DoubleVerify’s data, FanDuel found Platform 3 consistently outperformed other social platforms and internal benchmarks—delivering higher CTRs (around 1.1% in the tested sportsbook line) and Authentic Ad™ eCPMs (up to $38)—and subsequently increased investment in that platform; DV’s reporting continues to inform quarterly planning and budget decisions.
