Matterkind, an addressable marketing company, needed a privacy-safe, high-performing contextual targeting solution to boost campaign results for its client Esso Hong Kong. They partnered with DoubleVerify and activated DoubleVerify’s Custom Contextual offering to develop easy-to-launch targeting segments using pre-curated and dynamic categories plus language inclusion/exclusion controls.
DoubleVerify’s Custom Contextual was run head-to-head against other contextual providers and in a two-month test drove 33% more site traffic, achieved a 5.3x higher CTR (0.251% vs. 0.047%), delivered 4.6x more clicks per Hong Kong dollar, and outperformed the brand KPI (Cost Per Landing) by 19%. Esso opted to continue using the solution, and Matterkind plans to roll out DoubleVerify’s Custom Contextual across other programmatic campaigns.
