Houston Zoo’s Saving Wildlife Expo

The Houston Zoo partnered with the Wildlife Conservation Network to host the all-day Saving Wildlife Expo and needed a seamless way to manage online registrations with member/nonmember pricing, solicit donations during registration, collect donations on-site, and sell merchandise at the event. Coordinating those needs across digital and in-person channels was essential to maximize fundraising and attendee experience.

The Zoo used Doubleknot’s integrated registration, membership and donation tools plus the Sales Station POS on seven iPads to handle check‑in, campaign-specific donations and merchandise sales; configuration was quick and members received automatic discounts. Staff added items with a tap, swiped cards, emailed “green” receipts, and collected more than $6,200 on-site—earning more in-person donations than online—and reported the system made fundraising much easier.
