A Doubleknot Case Study
Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois (GSEIWI), which serves about 20,000 girls across multiple service centers and four camp properties, faced fragmented and time-consuming registration and reservation processes. Property and equipment rentals, a year‑round equestrian program with complex scheduling, and an inadequate online camp-registration system resulted in separate forms and payments, inconsistent availability tracking, poor reporting and limited support for tiered pricing and communications.
After a competitive review the council implemented Doubleknot to centralize bookings, manage assets and seasonal availability, support deposits and tiered pricing, automate receipts and communications, and simplify reporting and discounts. As a result GSEIWI handled a 50% increase in resident camp registrations in one summer (800 to 1,200), reduced registration and reservation process time and cost by 58%, lowered administrative burden, improved payment collection and achieved a positive ROI.
