The Salvation Army Southern Territory, a nine-division arm of The Salvation Army running a large year-end fundraising campaign, struggled to track donors’ employer match eligibility and the status of matching gift requests across multiple forms and regions. To address this time-intensive challenge they partnered with Double the Donation and adopted the 360MatchPro automated matching gift marketing platform to identify match-eligible donors and automate follow-up.

Double the Donation implemented 360MatchPro with email domain screening, a streamlined matching gift search on donation forms, automated and branded email triggers (sent from @uss.salvationarmy.org), parent/child form functionality, and real-time portal customization. As a result Double the Donation helped identify over $560,000 in match-eligible dollars, engaged 135,000+ donors via 360MatchPro, sent 126,000+ emails with a 48% open rate, and saw 37% of donors access matching gift forms or guidelines—driving a higher completion rate for match submissions.
