C.H.Beck migrates 16.2 million products to microservices with dotSource

The publisher C.H.BECK, a major German-language book and magazine publisher, approached dotSource to migrate its online shop from a monolithic system that had reached its development limits. The challenge was to quickly replace it with a high-performance, modular platform.

dotSource implemented a solution using the commercetools platform and a microservice architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure. The migration, which utilized about 80 microservices, significantly improved the shop's overall performance, simplified daily operations for employees, and accelerated time-to-market for the customer.
